The product
An energy-saving socket that first came to public notice when it appeared on Dragons' Den and all the dragons agreed to invest. It's an easily programmable multi-socket extension that works with your existing TV remote control by cutting out all standby consumption.

Working with Sorcit
Due to patent issues, the product was taken on by a Sheffield company who were finding production in China and meeting the target price challenging.

When we took on the project we were required to co-ordinate three factories in China each manufacturing separate parts of the product. In our first 12 months we produced 400,000 units to retail in Tesco, B&Q, Argos, Currys and Betterware. British Gas, after experiencing quality issues with a similar product, now also supplies the product free of charge to qualifying customers to meet government environmental targets.
