1 Jun 2007 - The secret tail of the cat!
One of our clients is great at concept development with a functional twist! When they first came up with the idea of a cat’s bottom pencil sharpener they were happy with small production runs in the UK. But as demand grew and they started looking for more profit they knew they needed to start considering overseas manufacturing. They were, however, very uneasy about exposing their designs to a Chinese manufacturer.

10 May 2007 - Three nations pull it off
A relatively young company was starting to make a big impression in the petcare market. They had a great reputation for innovation in animal welfare products and were already supplying the UK’s largest pet retailer. Production had been exclusively in the UK up until this point.

Our client was using a Chinese factory and its subcontractors to produce a large range of bird tables and feeders. Unfortunately product specification and service levels were not being met: the type of paints, glue, nails and packaging were not as agreed; quality was inconsistent.
