In recent years, our job hasn't just been about sourcing the best material for the job. It's also been about looking for new, more environmentally friendly ways to provide the same, if not better, quality. As the focus on 'sustainable' tightens, demand for eco materials will only increase, and Sorcit are at the forefront of understanding in this expanding area.

Take bamboo as an example. Relatively unknown and unused in manufacturing ten years ago, it's become extremely popular because of its versatility and sustainable credentials: it grows extremely quickly so it's a renewable source of material, and it requires less energy to harvest and produce. It can take all sorts of finishes so it's ideal for everything from flooring, chopping blocks and outdoor furniture, to clothing and ceramics.
